(1808-1865)

A Swiss Capuchin priest, educator, and social reformer who believed in "Christianizing industry" and improving education. He was known for his motto "As long as there is a poor child under the sun, I cannot rest".

Mother Maria Theresa Schere

(1825–1888)

Born Catherine Scherer, she was the co-foundress and first Mother General of the congregation. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 29, 1995. She was known for her motto "Discover the grain of gold hidden in every person's heart".

About Our Rehabilitation Centre

ASHA DEEP Rehabilitation Centre for the Handicapped (Children with special needs) was established on 16th June 1996 by the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross. We, the sisters of Holy Cross, serve the diverse needs of the differently abled children.
